401. George Michael – Faith [1987]

402. Electric Light Orchestra – Out of the Blue [1977]

Nominated by Rob of Chocolate Cake who says: Jeff Lynne’s grand masterpiece. A double LP of unforgettable pop gems. Mr. Blue, you did it right.

403. Joni Mitchell – Shadow and Light [1980]

404. David Bowie – Low [1977]

Recorded following Bowie’s move to West Berlin after a period of drug addiction and personal instability, Low was the first of three collaborations with Brian Eno and producer Tony Visconti later termed the “Berlin Trilogy”, although it was recorded primarily at the Château d’Hérouville in Hérouville, France, with additional recording at the Hansa Studio by the Wall in West Berlin. 406. Elton John – Goodbye Yellow Brick Road [1973]

It was recorded at the Studio d’enregistrement Michel Magne at the Château d’Hérouville in France after problems recording at the intended location in Jamaica. The move provided John and his band with a great deal of creative inspiration, and an abundance of quality material was produced, leading to the decision to release the work as a double album (LP). 407. Hawkwind – Space Ritual [1973]

Nominated by Fluccs Capacitor of Time Moves Slow who says: First of all, this is a vinyl collector’s ultimate piece in terms of package, picture, fold out poster. 70s Rockers Hawkind made this a space rock proto-metal master piece. Although it is a live set and pretty rarely do I go for live albums, this was my introduction to the band and hearing them in their element I knew these guys were ‘on something’.
